Locally owned coffee & cookhouse on Main Street — scratch-made breakfast, honest espresso, and a wall of conspiracies to keep you company.
Four drinks, four totally different experiences. Here's the difference at a glance — what's in the cup, and how big that cup actually is.
A small, concentrated shot pulled under pressure. No milk, no water — just bold, fast coffee.
A double shot of espresso. Same character, twice the amount — for when one shot isn't enough.
A "restricted" shot — pulled with less water, so it's more concentrated, syrupy, and slightly sweeter.
Espresso pulled with extra water running through the grounds — milder and more diluted than a standard shot.
Espresso with steamed milk and a thin layer of foam. Mostly milk — smooth, mellow, easy to drink.
Equal parts espresso, steamed milk, and foam. Lighter and airier than a latte, with a stronger coffee bite.
Espresso "marked" with just a dollop of foam. Barely any milk — almost as bold as a straight shot.
Espresso cut with a small, equal amount of steamed milk — stronger than a latte, smoother than a shot.
Espresso with steamed milk and very little foam — similar to a latte, but smaller and stronger.
A latte with chocolate stirred in — where your coffee order and your hot cocoa order meet in the middle.
Grounds steeped and filtered the classic way. The everyday "cup of coffee" — no espresso machine involved.
Espresso stretched out with hot water. Tastes close to drip coffee, but starts from an espresso shot.
Coarse grounds steep directly in hot water, then get pressed. Full-bodied, unfiltered, and rich.
Regular brewed coffee, chilled and poured over ice. Straightforward and refreshing.
Coffee steeped in cold water for many hours instead of brewed hot. Smoother, less acidic, and stronger.
Espresso and cold milk over ice — the latte's warm-weather sibling.
Coffee or espresso blended with ice until slushy. Cold, sweet, closer to a milkshake than a coffee.
Fully oxidized tea leaves — bold and robust. The base for most classic hot tea.
Black tea brewed with warming spices — cinnamon, cardamom, ginger — usually with steamed milk.
Lightly oxidized leaves with a lighter, grassier flavor and less caffeine than black tea.
Not technically "tea" — dried fruits, flowers, or herbs steeped in hot water. Naturally caffeine-free.

Black Sheep Coffee & Cookhouse started in 2019, when Shelbi — already a decade into the coffee industry after cutting her teeth at Coffee Pod in Provo — moved to Duchesne, bought the local coffee shop, and built something new alongside her daughter (who has since moved on). The name wasn't an accident: Shelbi named it Black Sheep because that's how she'd always felt herself, and she wanted a place that made the rest of Duchesne's black sheep feel like they belonged too. The hope from day one was simple — bring a little more life to a small town.
That mission hasn't changed since. Shelbi still believes the business was never really about the money — it's about the people, the community, and the attitude behind the counter.

Family owned, small, and friendly — just a block away from Black Sheep. The food is good, tasty, and authentic, the kind you'd get if you sat down for dinner at someone's family home, and the atmosphere matches. If you haven't been yet, go — we don't think you'll be disappointed.
Every other Saturday at 7PM, starting August 1st — then August 15th and 29th. Come enjoy a classic game night with Uno, Skip-Bo, and plenty of other options.
A cancer awareness ride and fundraiser, hosted by Bikers Against Bullying – Suicide Prevention.
Duchesne sits right on Hwy 40, and there's room for everyone — a large lot in the rear, on-street parking out front and along one side, plus plenty more parking directly across the street. Main Street sees heavy traffic through spring, summer, and fall, especially around the county fair, the 4th of July parade, and the Moonlake Gathering. Bikers from all over the country like to pull in, relax, cool off, and grab some tasty refreshments.
